Finding Meaning during these challenging times
I have found myself reflecting on Viktor Frankl's account of finding meaning in terrifying times during WW2, this inspired a few thoughts and tips:
1. ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฐ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ผ ๐ฑ๐ผ - paint, draw, write, sing...but don't just consume content and material.
2. ๐ก๐๐ฟ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐น๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐๐ต๐ถ๐ฝ๐: support your nearest and dearest, use technology to connect (Facetime, Whatsapp, Marco Polo, Houseparty, Zoom...)
3. ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฝ๐๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ผ๐๐ฒ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ฟ๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ถ๐บ๐ฒ๐: this is a tough one! But during these difficult days, where are you focusing your core purpose? Being a strong support for others? Investing in your skills for the future world of work? Nurturing a hobby that may lead to your next step? Appreciating that your role and job is critical and, in some ways, a privilege during this time. 4. But life does still have meaning in the most trying of times.
5. ๐๐ผ๐ป๐ป๐ฒ๐ฐ๐: try to focus outside of yourself to get through feeling stuck about a situation. Just a few thoughts, love and light to everyone.
